Precision built into the head
The head is where the film is formed. Material, flatness and shim choice decide what lands on the substrate.
Stainless steel construction
Machined from 1.4404 stainless steel, chemically passivated for corrosion resistance. Flatness on the inside planes is held to 5 µm or better across the full surface.
When to choose steel
Choose the Steel series for mechanical stability, tight flatness, and widths above 200 mm. The PEEK series is the alternative where chemical attack or thermal exposure is the limiting factor.
Built to be taken apart
Low dead volume, alignment features for reliable shim and meniscus guide positioning, and a design made for routine assembly, cleaning and maintenance. Each head ships in a protective flight case.
Steel series slot-die heads
Six widths, one mounting logic. Each head accepts the full shim and meniscus guide range.

Shims & meniscus guides
The shim sets the coating width and the wet film; the meniscus guide stabilizes the bead. Both are cut from AISI 302 stainless steel and cover widths from 1 mm to 500 mm.
Standard range
Thicknesses from 50 µm to 500 µm in sixteen steps. Default shim 100 µm, default meniscus guide 200 µm, default lip height 0.50 mm.
Patterns
Standard, custom and bespoke patterns. Lip height, thickness, pattern and coating width can all be specified — stripes and discrete coating areas included.
