FOM SD 500 | Steel Series

Designed to focus on performance and user convenience, the FOM slot-die harnesses cutting-edge technology to deliver exceptional coating quality across the expansive 500 mm width. Its lightweight build and integrated handle ensure portability without compromising stability or precision, making it ideal for diverse production environments requiring both efficiency and accuracy.

Applications

Our slot-die heads are designed for a wide range of applications, including but not limited to:

FOM SD 500 Features

The FOM SD 500 is our largest standard-size stainless-steel slot-die head, and it’s compatible with FOM coating machines such as FOM alphaSC, FOM alphaR2R, and FOM moduloR2R. It achieves a flatness tolerance of ≤ 5 µm across its entire surface, ensuring uniform coatings. Constructed from chemically passivated stainless steel 1.4404, it offers exceptional corrosion resistance. The FOM SD 500 accommodates coating widths from 10 to 500 mm and handles viscosities from 1 cP to over 100,000 cPs at 25°C. It includes a standard single manifold, dual ports for pressure measurement and air ventilation, and a 1/8” NPT thread for tube connections. This durable yet lightweight design ensures easy assembly, disassembly, and maintenance, making it perfect for efficient and reliable coating applications.
